introduction

THE STORY SO FAR...

For the last few years my work has been mainly dedicated to the exploration and new technics in printmaking in relationship with photography. By this I mean the

experimentation and manipulation of varied textures and materials with suitable surfaces for printing photographic images.

With a background as a painter I have applied those methods to photography thus closing the visual gap and stretching the boundaries between painting and photography.

Subject matter aside, the majority of my work in printmaking deals with  distressing the surface image  therefore making what might be considered a multiple print an actually unique work of art. It’s these technics that tie all my various subject matter together as a body of work.

My collaboration with master printmaker Franck Bordas has been invaluable in introducing me to new printing technics as well as presenting me with textures and surfaces usually not thought of when printing. This collaboration has resulted in producing editions of boxed portfolios also known as artist books, as well as the printing of very large unique images .
